SHIPPING OPTIONS

SECTION 1: OVERVIEW

We offer a range of shipping options to our customers to reflect the variable levels of stock availability and in response to our customers’ requirements for how quickly you want to receive your books.

In the sections below we set out the different shipping options by stock availability. The stock availability is visible for each book that is listed on our store.  To see this information, simply select the book you wish to purchase.  Opposite the book cover you will see the stock availability displayed underneath the price.

SECTION 2: BACKORDERS

Books that are “Available on backorder” are not held in stock at the point in time that you are viewing the product.  We are a startup business and are increasing our stock all the time, however we still want to be able to get your book to you.

This means that when you purchase a book on backorder from our store it is packaged and shipped directly to you from the publisher/supplier. We do this in order to get it to you quickly and efficiently.

Backorders are shipped via DHL courier directly to your door and take approximately 3-5 working days to arrive.

Orders that are shipped in this way are not tracked by MadRead. If you do not receive your order within the expected timeframe you should contact us so that we can speak to the publisher/supplier to confirm when your order will arrive.

SECTION 3: ITEMS IN STOCK

For books that we hold in stock, we offer our customers three shipping options to choose from to allow flexibility depending on how quickly you need your book(s) and how much (if anything) you are willing to pay for shipping.  The shipping options we offer are as follows:

FREE Shipping:  Orders are shipped via the Spanish Correos postal service.  Shipments are expected to arrive within 3-5 working days but are not tracked. There may be times when the Correos service is experiencing delays and your order may take a little longer to arrive.  If you are experiencing a delay receiving your order, you should first check to see whether you have received a notice through your letterbox from the Correos to say that they attempted to deliver your package whilst you were not at the shipping address provided and that your package is being held at your local Correos office for you to collect.  If you still have not received your order within 7 working days, you should contact us.             

Premium Shipping: If you would like your shipment to be tracked, we offer our Premium service.  Our Premium Shipping option is arranged via Packlink and Correos Paq Premium.  This shipping service offers tracking and delivery within 72 hours.  When your order has been processed you will receive a confirmation email from Packlink with a tracking reference number and a link for you to follow the progress of your order online, along with an estimated delivery date.  

Express Shipping: If you require your order urgently, we offer a next day delivery service.  Your order must be placed by midday in order to arrive the following day. Our Express Shipping option is arranged via Packlink and Correos Premium Paq. This shipping service offers tracking and delivery within 24 hours. When your order has been processed you will receive a confirmation email from Packlink with a tracking reference number and a link for you to follow the progress of your order online, along with an estimated delivery date.   

With both our Premium and Express Shipping options, we reserve the right to change the courier used for the delivery of your order.  For example, if we are aware of any issues causing shipping delays with Correos, such as strike action or high volumes, we may use an alternative courier to ensure that your order is delivered to you in accordance with your expectation based upon the shipping option you have selected. In this instance, you will still receive an email from Packlink with the tracking reference number and a link to where you can track your order.

Shipping costs on the Premium and Express options are determined based on the weight of the total order.  See below for details. 

Section 4: SUMMARY

The following tables summarise the features, timeframes and prices for each of the shipping options under two order weight categories, less than 1 kg and more than 1 kg.  The weight of your total order will be calculated to determine the shipping price.  

ORDER WEIGHT ≤ 1 KG

ORDER WEIGHT > 1 KG

Section 5: How to Select your Shipping Option

Once you have selected your books and added them to the cart, proceed to the checkout as usual.  When you enter your shipping address the options and prices will appear for you to choose the shipping method you prefer.  Select the method of your choice and proceed to payment.
